2024 is here and funny enough when I typed in the year I put 2023, time to mentally adjust.
The Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce welcomes the New Year with optimism and excitement.
Visitors are arriving from all parts of the U.S. and the world, meaning economic stability and local growth. For some the subtle changes are not welcome, for many it is much needed and appreciated. Time will tell, however, the one thing to remember is the community has a stronger voice than they realize. Use it!
Speaking of growth, the Chamber would like to welcome two new members, Borrego Financial and the Borrego Springs Community Resource Center. You’ll find all of their information in the directory on the Chamber website. The directory is constantly viewed on the website so take advantage of it when looking for local businesses.
This will be a banner year for the Chamber Certified Farmer’s Market. When I was handed control of the market, we had a handful of dedicated vendors, today on a full day we’ll have 30. All unique, and all of them love our market with many driving (one way) close to two hours to get to Borrego Springs. Please respect our vendors and if you have any issues at the market we always a have a Chamber information booth set up with volunteer Marie Perroud there to help or contact me quickly. Normally I’m back and forth between the Chamber and the market. One last word about the market, it opens at 8 a.m. It’s that simple, if you’re there before 8, you’ll have to wait.
