On Sept. 1, Borrego Springs Unified School District opened it's doors and welcomed back its students for the 2016 - 2107 school year.

At the middle and high school this year, ten new students joined the Rams, and the staff would like everyone to come show some school spirit at the football and volleyball games that are already underway.

With excitement, Principal Steve Dunn commented that we are "off to a good start and I'm very optimistic about this school year!"

With five new students at the elementary school joining the Coyotes, not including preschool, Principal Sherrilynn Polanco stated that, "our teachers believe that every child can learn and it's out job to give them the best support possible. One way we'll do that this year is to provide more opportunities for student to discuss their learning with each other."

The school district would like to remind everyone to look for students crossing the street and to adhere to the speed limits around the school grounds. Let's do our part to ensure kids safety!
