Fields Making Students Sick Near Coachella

An organic herbicide odor made more than 28 students at Coachella Valley High School in Thermal ill. The students reported nausea, dizziness and throat irritation after inhaling a strange odor originating in a field across the street from the school campus. A hazardous material team evaluated the students and school staff exposed to the undisclosed organic herbicide. The school was not evacuated and none of the students were taken to the hospital. There are no longer signs in the air of the strange odor.
