SDG&E crews will upgrade several power poles in the Borrego Springs community on March 18, which will result in two momentary outages at 3 a.m. on March 18 and again on March 19 as crews transfer to and from the larger energy grid.

SDG&E states, “We understand these outages can be disruptive and appreciate your patience while we conduct this important work to build a more resilient electric system.”

The microgrid will not be available during this project and the power will be transferred to and from the Imperial Irrigation District similar to our last planned outage.

The last SDG&E planned outage happened in the beginning of February, as crews upgraded nearly 30 transmission poles in town.
