A cell phone line at the County’s Building Division is now dedicated to building permits and other related matters in Borrego Springs. Contractors and homeowners do not have to travel to San Diego, but rather can call County staff at 619- 455-1334 Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m to make an appointment to talk to the appropriate County staffer with questions or issues.

On the initial call, tell them about your project, after which you can make a 30-minute phone appointment between 8 a.m. to noon on Friday with the appropriate County staffer. If needed, Building Division Staff will invite staff from other County departments to talk with you as well.

This program is the result of a special partnership between Planning and Development Services (PDS) and Borrego Springs as a result of the Borrego Springs Revitalization effort initiated by Supervisor Jim Desmond. Make use of it!
