A vicious dog bit a 6-year-old boy Wednesday just before 5:00 p.m. in La Quinta. The boy was taken to the hospital with wounds to his face and chin after trying to pet the pit bull mix. The dog is being quarantined at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms.

Last Tuesday’s fatal dog attack on a man from North Shore involved two pit bulls as well, which are also under quarantine in the same facility.
