The Soroptimist International of Borrego Springs hosted its third annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser at the Steele/Burnand Desert Research Center on December 14, drawing strong community support for a cause that uplifts local women and girls.

The event offered an afternoon of camaraderie, premium wines, gourmet appetizers, and exciting drawings for gift baskets and a silent auction – all in the name of empowerment and education.

Event Highlights

Guests enjoyed a curated selection of wines by acclaimed Napa-based wine broker Kimberly Jones, including standout offerings like Operation Dragoon and No Brainer. Known for her dedication to quality and value, Jones shared insights into her selections, creating a lively and engaging experience for wine enthusiasts.

Guests enjoyed sliders, quiche, rice noodle encrusted shrimp, chicken skewers, brownies, crackers, cheese, and more. Appetizers were provided by Carlee's, as usual, using the freshest ingredients for a delicious selection.

Pianist Steve T Hunter entertained guests with holiday songs as well as classic piano pieces.

The Miss Borrego Springs Pageant winners were present, assisting with the silent auction and raffle.

The silent auction presented unique opportunities and experiences, including:

Seven Nights Park City, Utah
