Residential Cleanup Event

It is a great time to get rid of unnecessary items in or around your home, and what better time to do it with the residential cleanup event, happening Saturday October 26 from 8 a.m. to Noon at the American Legion Post 853 (4515 Borrego Springs Road). Services will be available until capacity is reached!
This event is only open to unincorporated County of San Diego Residents.
Materials accepted:
Bulky Items including broken appliances, water heaters, furniture and other miscellaneous household bulky items that are too large or too heavy to place in the trash carts
Electronics including TVs, computer monitors, printers and cell phones
Recyclable material including #1-7 plastic containers, aluminum, glass containers and cardboard
Green waste including hedge trimmings, tree branches and weeds
Mattresses and box springs
Scrap metal
Tires up to 9 passenger tires per vehicle. Please call 1-877-713-2784 to request preapproval for loads of more than 9 tires. No tires with rims will be accepted. No tires from businesses.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and construction materials will not be accepted.
There will also be FREE paper shredding and FREE mulch. The mulch is a self-serve, self-loading service, so please bring your own cans/bags and shovel. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your materials.
Reusable items for donation will also be accepted. Reusable items such as gently used clothes, kitchenware, small household appliances, decor and furnishings will be accepted.
