The 58th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival and Parade is back and even better than the last, officially kicking off the new season in Borrego Springs. The Festival is underway Saturday Oct. 19 at 8:45 a.m. with the singing of the National Anthem by Robin Young at Christmas Circle. Then look up to the sky for the ever so anticipated exciting flyover. And the long-anticipated return of the Parade, themed “Celebrating Local Veterans” HONOR. RESPECT. FREEDOM, will make its way down Palm Canyon Drive, so get your chairs ready to enjoy!

The Parade will feature many local businesses and friendly faces, as well as Grand Marshal Mr. Spring, who is a 98 1/2-year-old WWII US Navy Veteran.

Then Christmas Circle vendors will be open for business, so have yourselves a day!

Enjoy the Fourth Annual Shine & Show Car Display, voting for your favorite ones in the different categories. The winners of those categories will be said during the announcements on Saturday.

Children can also enjoy the kids zone with many returning vendors providing the fun. Do a bit of shopping and get ahead for the holiday season, while also supporting local businesses and booths. Enjoy the delicious food and drinks from the various vendors, many of whom are local favorites! Visit the Beer Garden, but don’t forget to bring your ID! As you walk around the Circle, say hi to the multiple dignitaries, including Honorary Mayor Daniel Wright, special honorees, and newly-crowned Miss Borrego 2024 – 25 and her court.

Also, don’t miss the many announcements happening at 12:05 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19, including the Award recipients of “The Mike Himmerich Dedicated Chamber Volunteer Award,” and “The Stuart & Bonnie Resor Community Service Award.”

Sit back and relax or dance to the musical stylings of Borrego favorites, Soul Frenzi, and Modern Country’s Best PHT and the Honky Tonk Nights! Also welcome Pulp Vixen, a four piece ladies band who’ll have everyone on their feet!

Sunday Oct. 20, continue the fun and keep enjoying the Festival and visit those vendors you may have missed the day before. Don’t miss entertainment by Borrego Springs own Elementary After School Dance Team, followed by music from Grupo Desatado. Also look closely as you might know some of the musicians.

Pushing through the challenges and obstacles of putting on a successful Borrego Days Desert Festival, the volunteers have been hard at work to bring Borregans and visitors yet another spectacular Festival. This hometown event is fun for all ages! Mark those calendars and enjoy the 58th annual Borrego Days Festival in Borrego Springs.
