Our State Senator for the 38th District Republican Brian Jones, will hold a Town Hall meeting at the Library Saturday, Feb. 1, split into two sessions – the first a Local Nonprofit Expo from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and the second will be a Q&A from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Senator Jones is asking for Borregans to come and “share your views, ask questions about the issues that are most important to you, and learn about the great work being done by nonprofits in your community.”
He previously served in the California State Assembly, representing the 71st District from 2010 – 2016, also encompassing most of the inland San Diego County. Prior to being elected to the State Assembly, he was a member of the Santee City Council.
Jones, 51, is in the running for Duncan Hunter’s vacant 50th Congressional District seat in November.
He is the only one of the four candidates currently living in the District: he lives in Santee.
