City Ballet's performance at the Performing Arts Center will be Friday Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m., so mark your calendars!

This year the troupe will perform The Firebird ballet, a Russian tale of love and magic. The story takes place in an enchanted garden deep in the forest. Prince Ivan wanders into the garden and discovers the Firebird, a mystical creature that appears to be a beautiful woman with a bird-like appearance. Prince Ivan is searching for a beloved princess who has been captured by the evil magician, Kaschei. The Firebird uses her special powers to help Prince Ivan and teaches him how the power of love overcomes evil. Igor Stravinsky’s amazing score, combined with Elizabeth Wistrich’s choreography makes for a stunning theatrical experience.

Tickets in advance are available at the Bighorn Fudge Company (Tuesday - Sunday, 8 to 4) or online at http://www.bspac.net. Because of your generous support of our theatre, a special performance by City Ballet for school children is scheduled for earlier in the day.

Come and enjoy!
