Saturday Oct. 7 at 9:00 a.m., there will be a hawk/ falcon talk at Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve West.
Watch them soar around the sky, watch trainers hold them using a protective glove, and they may even let you hold one too.
There will also be a touch table with taxidermy hawks, racoon, weasels, bobcats, pelts, skulls, bones, antlers and horns.
Luke the wolf will be there and loves to be petted.
After the event, a ranger will lead a hike into the Santa Ysabel West Preserve. Those attending should bring a chair, water and snacks. The hike is about 4.5 miles long with some steep up-and-down sections.
