Flash Flood Warning Issued For Borrego Springs

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a flash flood warning, which will be in effect until 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Rain has already made its way down the valley, and dark clouds are taking over the mountains over Indian Head.
Winds are coming in from the W at an average top speed of nine mph.
There is a thunderstorm headed toward the Borrego Springs area, as dark clouds can be seen from the mountain tops and light rain is beginning to fall. Thunder is crackling down and the wind is continuing to pick up.
Locations impacted include Borrego Springs, Highway 78 between Borrego Springs Road and Ocotillo Wells, Highway S-22 between Ranchita and Borrego Springs, Borrego Palm Canyon, Highway S-22 between Borrego Springs and Imperial County Line and Los Coyotes Indian Reservation.
The community is advised to stay safe indoors and bring in any pets or furniture. Drivers are also advised to drive with caution or stay off the roads.
