Community Invited to Discuss Plans

A series of workshops on the 10-year Salton Sea management plan are taking place in Imperial and Riverside counties.

The workshops will give community members an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the plan which lays out a timeline for building habitat on exposed playa and for dust suppression projects.

Comite Civico del Valle, an Imperial County-based nonprofit, is helping to facilitate the meetings. The next one is on Thursday June 22, 5:30 p.m. at the Del Rio Community Center in Brawley.

There will also be a meeting June, 28 - Bombay Beach Ski Inn, 9596 Ave. A Niland, CA 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
