A 68-year-old missing woman has been found dead at the Navy Seal bomb training facility located southeast of the Salton Sea.

A Navy range master found the body of Laura Johnson, an Ontario resident, close to her vehicle Wednesday, July 20, at the facility near Niland.

Johnson was reported missing Saturday after she failed to return to her mother's home in Chino, stated Chino police spokeswoman Monica Gutierrez.

After leaving to run errands and failing to return, the California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert due to her suffering from memory loss and disorientation.

"She had no cellphone or electronic banking, leaving detectives with little means to track her," according to Gutierrez.

An autopsy will be performed in Imperial County to determine the cause of her death. But investigators say there are no signs of criminal or suspicious circumstances.

Anyone with additional information may call Chino police at 909-334-3015.
