Mrs. Haddock reported that a Back Country Economic Development Coalition (BCEDC) is forming and the founding chambers will include, Alpine, Borrego Springs, Julian, Ramona and maybe Valley Center. The plan is to create a 501c6 to create, foster and promote a regional collective and coordinated back country experience for the mutual benefit of the member communities. Updates on the coalition will be made available during future chamber board meetings.

Sundowner's for the season have ended with the hope that the Chamber would bring back the Ice Cream Socials for the Summer. At todays meeting, Mrs. Haddock explained that the Chamber will not be doing their beloved socials this year, due to lack of funding. The next Sundowner, usually held at the Borrego Springs Airport, will be at the Boys and Girls Club or Rams Hill Golf Course. More details to come at the next board meeting.
