On June 13, Borrego Springs High School held an Awards Assembly to honor its students for the 2015 - 2016 school year. The academic awards you win in high school are worth a lot more than the space they take up on your shelf or wall. In fact, these awards might help you get into college.

Universities are looking for well-rounded students and nowadays, a good grade point average (GPA) isn't always enough to get into the school you want or deserve. High school academic awards, whether for a specific subject or just for all-around excellence in school, can be great ways to prove that you're ready for the academic demands of a college or university.

The high school awarded two students the 2015 - 2016 Salutatorians; congratulations Erik Tulving and Nadia Lopez Rodriques! The 2015 - 2016 Valedictorian is Andres Bojorquez!
