Swainson's Hawks by Hal Cohen - Open to all registrants- 3:30 - 4:30

The story of the Swainson's hawk and their annual migration stretches from Canada in the north all the way to Argentina, a yearly round trip that can span 12,000 miles or more. Along the way, thousands of the hawks pass through the Borrego Valley. Join Hal Cohen, founder of the Borrego Valley Hawk Watch, as he tells the interesting story of how he set out to observe turkey vultures one day and the Borrego Hawk Watch was created.

Following the lecture we will go out to the hawk watch location.
