Re: Resignation from Borrego Village Association

This is a letter of resignation from my position as a Director and as President of the Borrego Village Association, effective immediately.

As you know, Rich and I have re-located to the east coast for a new adventure in Annapolis, Maryland, close to our families and other dear friends.

I cherish the decade of collaboration with the many fine people who have lent their time, expertise, and goodwill to our organization. I’d like to note the contributions of early Think Tank and BVA founders, including Erica Savage, the late Mike Gotch, Dennis Nourse, Betsy Knaak, Jim Wermers, Abby King, Linda Carson, Mark Jorgensen, and Ben Nourse. As the organization matured, the Board welcomed the fine talents and goodwill of Richard Orne, Susan Hancock, Bob Blum, and Judy Haldeman.

The work we have done together has not only enhanced the experience and environment of the village core, but has also inspired a number of like-minded improvement projects that have made our town shine again. From the beautiful trees and memorial benches to the walking path and “Here You Are” directory, our intentions became manifest through vision and optimism. In my 13 years as a full-time resident, I’ve never seen Borrego look better – and that’s a fine note on which to depart!

Thank you all for the support, friendship, and creativity you have brought to our endeavors. I will miss you and Borrego Springs as I hold you all dear in my heart and memories.

I wish the very best for the organization going forward, however it may develop. I trust your leadership, wisdom and experience to make the best choices.

My very best regards,

Gwenn Marie
