Greetings and salutations Outside the Box fans!

We are busily concocting a rich slate of programs for the school semester. Ongoing projects that carry over from last term include a donation for seeds to the BAI for the art gardens for which our middle schoolers designed some planting beds under Claudia Goldberg's program. A donation was made to her, towards reconstruction of the gardens at the middle school and a recent offer of support for supplies for her cooking classes. As always she is a ball of energy up there.

Art teacher Ellen Dickman met with us about classes in the art department and we will be exhibiting geometric 3D works by her art students at our new gallery in The Mall this spring. More on that when we have a date.

Film wardrobe supervisor Ann Powderly and her team will offer sewing classes again in February and March. As a culmination of that program we will offer twenty passes to sewing students past and present to the El Paseo Fashion Week in Palm Desert April 3. Another field trip, yay. This excursion is being offered to us through another one of our programs, the Tuki Collar Sox Animal Rescue Project under the generosity of the Humane Society of Palm Springs. We will attend LE CHIEN, the family friendly couture show with models escorting dogs dressed by famous designers with a photo op with Project Runway Stars under the big tent.

Geoff Stone was looking into some new equipment that would enable him to continue the film project started last year with Timothy Elliott. Also under film events we plan a free public screening at the school of the film of La Tierra Ierro, a ballet that I commissioned for the Island Moving Company Ballet in Newport, R.I., this year performed at the beautiful Rosecliff Mansion. We will make sure all dance fans get the information on this one as well.

Support for all of these programs is generously donated by the BAG as well as individuals and organizations from the community at large.

Meanwhile, come to our gallery in The Mall at ArtWalk Fridays from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A percentage of all sales at The Gallery go to support Outside the Box.
