Coachella Valley - Rain Predicted

Last updated 1/4/2016 at 9:43am

The National Weather Service is predicting a storm over Coachella Valley, Tuesday afternoon, which could see the arrival of about half an inch of rain falling by the middle of the week.

Areas west of the San Jacinto Mountains may receive 2 to 3 inches by Friday, with mountainous areas as low as 4,000 feet seeing the possibility of several feet of snow.

Low temperatures should be in the upper 40s with minimal amounts of wind. As the rain is spread out over a few days, this should lessen the likelihood of any flooding.
