Salton Sea - 3.4 Earthquake

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook the area near the Salton Sea at 4:21 p.m., Thursday Dec. 17.

At just over a mile in depth, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, there was no damage reported.

The quake's epicenter was recorded approximately 11 miles west of Niland and 32 miles northwest of El Centro.
