Southern California skies were lit up Tuesday night, as a fireball was spotted by observers from Arizona, Nevada and California. An official at the Griffith Observatory stated it was either a meteor or space debris burning after entering the earth’s orbit.

For more late night stargazing, the International Space Station will be visible this evening Wednesday, Dec. 23 for 6 minutes beginning at 5:56 PM, Max Height: 79°, Appears: 10° above NW.
