One of the locations that’s been identified is the 76 gas station at 40-010 Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes. Another location identified is a Valero gas station located at 70-255 Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage.

Agents said the suspects would drive a van in front of pumps at chosen gas stations to hide them as they opened panels on the pumps to for installing the information skimming devices.

Investigators used a GPS tracking device to follow two of the suspects back to the above mentioned gas stations where the men had earlier installed the skimmers.

The number of stations involved and amount of money lost has not been determined yet, as the Los Angeles Fraud Task Force continues to investigate the credit card skimming ring.
