Nestle, the largest bottled water company in the U.S., has been allowed to pipe water from the San Bernardino National Forest for 27 years without having their permit reviewed or renewed.

Tuesday, Oct. 13, three groups, including the Center for Biological Diversity, filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Forest Service for breaking federal laws. The advocacy groups are demanding the Forest Service stop using a pipeline that carries water from 11 wells away from the San Bernardino Forest, and into the bottled water giant’s market.
