Rain Causes Dirty Water

Beach goers should stay way from ocean water due to the recent rain fall in San Diego County. The levels of bacteria increase significantly in oceans, bays, and places that release urban runoff water, like storm drains, rivers and lagoons. People should avoid getting in the water for three days after rainfall. Urban runoff water can contain bacteria from animal waste, soil, and decomposing vegetation.
