Desert Water Agencies Haven't Met Conservation Targets

Three large water agencies in the Coachella Valley have yet to meet state-mandated water conservation targets. These deficits will need to be addressed by the Desert Water Agency, Indio Water Authority, and Coachella Valley Water District in the coming months because the order requires cumulative cuts in urban water use from June through February. Some water agencies have been ordered to take additional steps towards conservation, but the State Water Resources Control Board hasn’t issued any fines (up to $10,000 a day) yet.
