4.0 Earthquake Hits Big Bear

Big Bear Lake received a 4.0 magnitude earthquake at 9:10 a.m. today. The epicenter was eight miles south southeast of Big Bear Lake, and 24 miles east southeast of Banning. The hypocentral depth was 7.0 miles. It was followed by a 2.4 quake at 9:14 a.m. The magnitude reached the Coachella Valley, which also felt the quake. No injuries and damages have been reported.
