Unsuccessful Attempt at Kidnapping, Police Looking for Suspects

Sheriffs are on the search for two men in a white minivan who tried to kidnap a 10-year-old girl around noon on Monday, Aug. 24 in Alpine, Calif. The two men approached the girl and offered her a ride and candy, but the girl ran and hid.

The Sheriff seeks the public’s help to find the suspects wanted for annoying and harassing a child. The suspects are driving a white minivan with tinted side windows, pink breast cancer sticker on the back door and two lumber boards on top. One suspect is a white man with a freckled face wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the drawstring pulled around his face and black sweatpants. There is no description for the second suspect.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts of the suspects can contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Alpine Station’s dispatch at 858-565-5200. Anyone with information leading to the arrest can be eligible for a $1,000 reward by calling the San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
