This story was featured in the Borrego Sun on March 1963.

"A rare find of thee Indian ollas, in almost perfect condition, have been turned over to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park headquarters for study and perhaps future exhibitions.

The ollas, ancient Indian urns, were discovered deep in a crevice in a remote area of the desert by Robert Barclay, 33, a member of a three-man surveying crew.

Other members of the crew were Bruce DeMott and Ralph Hatch.

Barclay said he believed the two larger ollas were used for food storage or cooking pots. The smaller one, he said, appeared to be a water jar."
