Although Venus and Jupiter appeared closest last night, they officially reach conjunction at 10:00 a.m. EDT today. They lie within one degree of each other. Once the sun sets this evening, Jupiter appears about the width of a full moon to Venus’ right. Full moon occurs at 10:20 p.m. EDT. They are closer today than at any other time in 2015.
