Rudyville Alert

Last updated 1/19/2018 at 9:17am

After a decade of hearings and studies, the fate of Rudyville will be decided in 2018 by a vote of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.

Rudyville's request to increase its density to one home per acre, for a total of 170 homes, will be decided in 2018. The county has published the final document, the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report, that is required before the matter can come to a vote of the County Board of Supervisors. Although the date of the Supervisors' vote has not yet been set, it could occur as early as July 2018.

The Tubb Canyon Desert Conservancy (TCDC) has opposed Rudyville since its inception and will continue to do so at this critical time. TCDC is planning a range of activities this spring to voice our opposition to Rudyville.

If you wish to oppose Rudyville, there are two things you can do at this time. First go to the TCDC website (www.tubbcanyondesertconservancy.org) and read about the latest developments and anticipated time frames of hearings and votes.

Second, spread the word among your friends who care about this issue and ask them to sign up for the Rudyville Mailing List at the TCDC website.

Together we can stop this travesty called Rudyville.

David Garmon

President, TCDC
