Conrad Hughes Hilton, hotel chain heir and brother of tabloid queen Paris Hilton, has until Oct. 3 to report to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department work release program to serve time for his conviction in a felony reckless evasion of a peace officer case in the Coachella Valley.

Following his failure to yield to a California Department of Fish and Wildlife officer in August 2014 and a high-speed chase on the eastbound 10 freeway from Calimesa, which was called off for safety reasons, 45 minutes later, Hilton got into an accident and suffered major injuries in Cathedral City.

During a routine hearing in Indio Wednesday, May 18, Hilton, 22, changed his plea to guilty. Judge Dean Benjamini sentenced him to 90 days, with one-day credit for previous time in custody in the case, according to court records. He has been placed on probation for three years.
