Salton Sea - Easter, Salvation Mountain

Last year my wife Judy and I had the privilege of getting up at 3:00 a.m., leaving Borrego at 4:00 a.m., to attend an Easter Sunrise Service at 5:30 a.m. on Salvation Mountain on the other side of the Salton Sea.

There was something special about standing on Salvation Mountain and watching the sunrise over the cross, as we listened to the message of 'Pastor Dave' who is a resident in Slab City (the homeless community next to Salvation Mountain where we minister with Ernie and Debbie Loza) We thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – but, here we are going back again this year.

The service is now at 6:00 a.m. – leaving Borrego at 4:30 a.m. Let us know if you would be interested in carpooling with us to the service. We would meet at The Circle, drive to the service and be back in Borrego by 9:30 a.m. so you can still attend the service at your regular church. E-mail me at bill@oldborego.org if you want more information or want to join us.
