"FAILLA FAMILY TENNIS FESTIVAL" – April 14

Last updated 3/17/2016 at 12:14pm

Yet another big Tennis Event at La Casa! Having enjoyed brother Doug Failla’s Tennis Clinic recently, his brother Greg Failla, his wife and kids, will take over the Courts at La Casa and teach a 90-minute class as a family team on April 14.

Younger brother Greg was an outstanding junior, CIF champion by his senior year in high school, and ranked sixth in the country in the 18s. He was a two-time All-American, ranked third in the NCAA. His wife Katrina Crawford was the CIF champion at Valhalla and also a top junior, #29 in the Girls National 18s. Daughters Jessica (17) and Julia (11) have followed their parents into the competitive ranks. Jessica has worked her way up the junior rankings (top 15 nationally in the 16s) and was the CIF's Girls' Champion in 2013. Julia caught the tennis bug from her sister and is progressing nicely in junior competition. The Failla family has built a rich tennis tradition in Ramona, where they teach at the Riviera Oaks, offering both clay and grass courts.

"This is a one-time only opportunity to get this amazing Tennis Family here to Borrego Springs” says Mike Rogers, La Casa’s own Tennis Pro, who is hosting this event. “I am very proud to have them here to enjoy our beautiful resort and outstanding tennis facility. His brother Doug loved it, now the rest of the family is coming to check it out!”

The 9am clinic will be followed by a Failla Family competition, and all clinic participants are invited to join a Social Mixer afterwards. Call Mike for reservations at (858) 361-1135.
