Aero-Rama Gathered 15,000 People in Borrego Springs

Borrego Springs, April 8, 1961. The Aero-Rama event took place at Borrego Valley Airport. It gathered more than 15,000 spectators, largest in town's history at the time, to watch the aerial acrobatics, stunt flying, and a mock dogfight between two Word War I planes. There were a total of 513 aircrafts registered for the two-day event.
